i decided to update my about page yesterday. I havent added any pics, as yet, but i may in the future. I wrote a little about myself as i like reading about authors in blogs i read (maybe im just nosy!).
How personal do you make your blog? Do you blog about personal things in your life or do you only bring something like that up if you can’t update your blog for a week and have to explain why to visitors.
I like blogs that have a little bit of a personal touch. I dont wanna read about it every other post but i guess a part of me wants to like the person whos writing the posts….ok i just dont wanna hate them!
I think that a little personal touch can help you increase the number of readers and encourage them to comment on your posts.
Do you think an about page is sufficient to add a personal touch to a blog?

Hi Kevin, I think you’re right about adding the personal touch to a blog. I don’t know if I succeed in doing that on mine, but I think I do.
One thing I don’t like, however, are blogs that go on about certain things like what the author had for breakfast, what they had for lunch, etc. It’s okay in moderation, but if you come back a few times and find the same thing over and over again, it just gets a bit boring.

yeah i think that talking about lunch etc is overkill. im sure some authors post about that kind of thing when theyre struggling for post ideas
